Position Summary for Swim Instructor / Lifeguard

To provide clients with group and/or individual instruction that is tailored to the needs and abilities of each individual.

  
Position Responsibilities for Swim Instructor / Lifeguard

§           Provide exceptional customer service to all members throughout the fitness center

§           Evaluate and assess skill level and needs of each client in the pool environment

§           Teach swimming skills and techniques to clients

§           Supervise all pool patrons and members & guests on deck

§           Assist in maintenance of pool area, related exercise equipment and emergency equipment

§           Follow safety and emergency rules and procedures at all times

§           Maintain a positive and professional demeanor through all interactions and with all persons at the fitness center

§           Contribute as a member of the team towards improving the lifestyles of our members

Position Requirements for Swim Instructor / Lifeguard

§           Lifeguard certification required

§           Current CPR/AED certification required

§           Experience working with children highly desirable

§           Minimum of 6 months experience teaching swimming and working as a lifeguard preferred
