CAD Operator

TP Mechanical Contractors, one of the leading mechanical contractors in the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio region specializing in commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection is seeking a CAD Operator/Designer for our Cincinnati, Ohio office.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Use AutoCAD to create sheet metal, HVAC Piping, and/or plumbing installation drawings from Engineer generated contract documents including structural and architectural backgrounds.
• Identify areas of unclear intent or discrepancies and communicate to necessary persons or parties for a resolution.
• Attend mechanical systems coordination meetings and resolve conflicts with other contractors using a light table overlay technique.
• Create prefabrication shop sheets from coordinated drawings for piping and plumbing.
• Detail and piece length ductwork for fabrication for sheet metal.

•   Experience in construction pertaining to sheet metal, HVAC piping and/or plumbing systems

  •   Experience in mechanical, architectural, and structural blueprint reading

  • Experience with Windows and general computer skills

  •  Working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Experience with Cadpipe software a plus but not necessary. 

This is a specialized field of drafting using AutoCAD geared toward the installation and prefabrication of mechanical systems in the construction environment.

This is a full time position and relocation will not be offered.
