Sewanee: The University of the South invites applications for the position of Director of Physical Plant Services. The individual will direct the operational, financial and personnel functions of Physical Plant Services. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing polices budgetary strategies and internal processes within Physical Plant Services.

The University of the South comprises a highly-regarded College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and a distinguished School of Theology. It is an institution of the Episcopal Church that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds. It is located on a striking, 13,000 domain on Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering, business administration or related field) and a minimum of ten years' experience in facilities engineering and five years' experience in senior level management and a proven record of accomplishment in physical plant operations. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a thorough knowledge of effective techniques for plant administration with strong leadership, team building, and communication skills and his ability to interact with a broad spectrum of people. 

Salary and benefits are competitive and will be commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications. Eligibility for employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.
