Adjunct Instructor - Exercise Specialist

Description Adjunct instructors' primary responsibility is to provide quality instruction.  Create a professional, organized, positive, and fun learning environment.  Continuously strive for student satisfaction, and maintain high retention goals.  Maintain and continually assist in the development of lesson plans, curriculum updates, evaluation of textbooks and resource materials.  Act as a liaison between the college and community helping to develop employment opportunities for our students. 

Learner centered; energetic; classroom leadership style, with the ability to facilitate effective motivational and quality education while delivering fanatical customer service oriented attitude; model, mentor, and monitor students to success by goal and vision achievement.  Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work and think quickly to meet classroom objectives; strongwork ethic, and willingness to learn and improve in all aspects of the position.

Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field required (Kinesiology, Health, Physical Education).  Two to five years experience in related physical education or as a personal trainer required.  NSCA certification is required and/or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.  ACE certification is required and/or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Teaching hours:

8:00 am to 2:00pm

5:00 pm to 10:45 pm

All courses are on the Springfield campus, must have reliable transportation.
