Mathematics Faculty

Minimum requirements are a master's degree in Pure Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution, which must include at least six graduate courses in three of the following four areas: (I) Algebra/Logic, (II) Analysis/Differential Equations, (III) Geometry/Topology, (IV) Discrete Mathematics/Probability/Number Theory.

Degrees in disciplines other than Pure Mathematics, for example, in Mathematics Education, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Physics or Statistics, and courses in areas other than the above will not be considered as a substitute for this minimum requirement.

A commitment to teaching and developing courses in a broad range of remedial and undergraduate mathematical subjects is expected. Candidates must have definite views on matters of current pedagogical interest such as reform movements, use of technology, distance learning, interactive learning, cooperative learning, etc.
