Job Description - Tax Preparers:

America's Tax and Accounting is one of Michigan's largest independent providers of tax preparation and planning services, specializing in the retirement community.

We are currently hiring experienced Tax Preparers for the 2010 tax season in our Warren office. The position is a full time paid position, working 40 hours or more per week. Overtime and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gathering, sorting, and organizing documents to extract pertinent data.
  • Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, using ATX Kleinrock software.
  • Assembling completed tax returns.
  • Meeting with clients to obtain tax documentation and to deliver completed tax returns
  • Researching tax issues.
  • Protecting confidential information.

Skill and Qualification Requirements for Tax Preparers:

  • Excellent analytical, research, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
  • At least 5 years previous tax preparation experience
