ASSISTANT CONTROLLER – LAW FIRM – CPA – WASHINGTON, DC – TO 90K

The position of Assistant Controller will assist the Director of Finance in directing the maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of financial statements, management of the pension plan and other general accounting functions.

Requirements

Education:

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting Required

· CPA or MBA preferred

Experience:

· 5 to 6 years law firm accounting experience preferred

Skills:

Advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel and strong accounting systems knowledge with experience in Perfect Law or Elite software.
Excellent writing, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Strong proofreading skills
Ability to work well under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities
