Phillips Baby Place (with Level II NICU), Florida Hospital Orthopaedic Institute, and Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, Winter Park.

The Department:
The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place is known as Central Florida’s “boutique" obstetric hospital, with a reputation for providing sophisticated medical care in a warm, supportive and intimate environment. With over 2,700 babies born here annually, we are ranked third among area hospitals for the number of babies delivered. We have 7 private LDR Suites, 2 operating Rooms, 6 Antepartum High-risk beds and an Antepartum testing area. We also currently have 5 NICU beds but we will be building a new addition to be completed by mid year next year bringing the NICU to 14 beds and also expanding our L &D suites.
Job Description:
Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse with global responsibility for the quality and continuity of patient care for specific age groups identified by the standards of care. The Nurse Manager:
- Provides leadership in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clinical unit.
- Participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process.
- Directs and evaluates all personnel according to hospital, nursing and unit philosophy and objectives.
- Is a role model and resource person guiding staff in the development of skills and capabilities.
- Develops unit activities that support the elements of extending excellence.
- Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 3-5 years management experience in L&D with combination of NICU experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years L&D clinical bedside experience required.
BSN required, MSN preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
FM Certification
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
RNC Certification
