Description Mid-Senior Business Reporting Analyst

The Mid – Senior Business Objects Report Developer
  • Should be able to learn to design reports using reporting tools - Business Objects (BO) XI, Crystal XI
  • Should have an understanding of Oracle databases and PL/SQL
  • Should be able to learn the concept of BO security and be able to apply them in reporting security designs.
  • Should be able to develop and understanding of the application functionality, including security, to design/test/develop reports.

    The Mid – Senior Business Objects Report Developer will be expected to:
  • Gather and analyze reporting requirements
  • Design ETL processes
  • Design Business Objects universes
  • Design reports according to gathered requirements
  • Create test scripts, scenarios and cases
  • Identify changes required to the baseline system in order to meet reporting requirements
  • Provide user support and deliver user documentation
  • Provide status reporting to team leader and assist with monitoring the timely completion of scheduled tasks

    The Mid – Senior Business Objects Report Developer should demonstrate

  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience working with database, software platforms and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of ETL software and reporting tools such as Crystal reports

    Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience working with databases, software platforms and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of ETL software and reporting tools such as Crystal Report
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Good writing skills, attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills are critical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, Excel, or equivalent packages is a must.

    Nonessential Skills Desired:
  • AMS Advantage Experience
  • Experience with the SDLC in a system implementation environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with off shore teamsGabrielle A. Best Husband
