South Dakota Lions Eye Bank, Inc.
We are seeking a leader for a nonprofit organization that provides the gift of sight and health through the donation of bone, connective tissue, heart valves, veins, skin, and corneas. This full-time salaried position is located in Sioux Falls, SD.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. S/he is responsible for the leadership and administration of the agency and its programs and services, fiscal management, fund development, and quality assurance. SDLEB has a staff of 30 full- and part-time employees and a budget of $2.5 million. The Executive Director also represents the Eye Bank to a wide variety of community and other external audiences.
The successful applicant will have at least seven years of progressive experience in human service, health care administration, nonprofit leadership, or related service. Specific experience in nonprofit corporation governance, financial management, fund development (including grants development), marketing, and/or corporate management/administration are preferred. Eye and tissue bank experience is a plus.
Bachelor-level degree required, Master-level degree preferred, in public administration, business, finance, accounting, education, social work, or related advanced education degree with specific connection to the mission of the organization.
