Overview
M&T Bank is looking for an outstanding, experienced Executive Secretary to assist the Executive Vice President of M&T Bank’s Human Resources Division by providing full administrative services in a highly responsible, professional and confidential manner.
The Opportunity
EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:
Assisting the Executive Vice President by providing all required secretarial services, such as drafting and rewriting letters, memos and reports, researching records, establishing and maintaining files and word processing for a wide variety of materials, reports and correspondence.
CORRESPONDENCE MANAGEMENT:
Professionally screening telephone calls and reviewing incoming correspondence, noting key points and items that may be of particular interest to the Executive, prioritizing material for review and answering routine correspondence on own initiative. Maintaining contact with key executives, board members, and management personnel from other organizations.
CALENDAR AND TRAVEL MANAGEMENT:
Maintaining Executive’s busy business calendar using discretion to screen requests for meetings and appointments and rescheduling meetings and appointments to meet special contingencies. Make travel arrangements and develop itineraries.
To be considered, you must possess the following basic qualifications
Five+ years progressive secretarial experience with excellent administrative skills.
Two+ years in an administrative capacity.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven ability to use independent judgment, discretion, and strict confidentiality regarding Executive and bank matters.
Flexible and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ideal Qualifications Preferred
AAS degree in secretarial science or related degree.
Shorthand skills.
