- Responsible for the oversight of maternal child care in-patient and out-patient.
- Initiates new programs and processes to maintain quality delivery of care for pediatric and obstetrical patients.
- Acts as the maternal child expert for specific programs related to this population, i.e. vaccines, contracting and other areas vital to maternal child care.
- Participates in community outreach programs affecting the maternal child population.
- Performs analysis of data and reports to determine issues affecting maternal child programs and operations, and develops programs to address variances.
- Works collaboratively with primary care on site staff to ensure maternal child compliance and provides ongoing education to staff.
- Maintains visibility at all maternal child sites and for case management to provide on site expertise and observations.
- Develops guidelines and clinical practice programs for both in-patient and out-patient maternal child programs.
