Description We are currently seeking a Specialty Developer who will actively contribute in a cross-talented team comprised of analysts and developers to convert Business Object reports and universes to WebFOCUS to support and drive forward the Business Intelligence reporting area. The Specialty Developer will lead small team of WebFOCUS developers using proven project management and systems development life cycle methodologies; Interface and communicate with project lead, business customers and solutions architect for scope, estimates, requirements, project status and deliverables; Analyze specifications and Business Objects reports/universe and develop and test reports utilizing WebFOCUS and Teradata/Oracle; Interface with the various information technology groups, as needed, for source-to-target mappings and reporting interfaces; Work with DA's and DBA's, as needed, to manage changes; Provide support of existing WebFOCUS reporting applications including participation in off shift duty analyst pager rotation; Create and maintain production support documentation; Work on-site 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday; May be required to work during weekend hours.~cb~
Requirements The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. The Specialty Developer will have three or more years in WebFOCUS development including metadata, reports and dashboards (1 year with v7.x or higher); Two or more years experience managing small team of developers; Procedural Programming experience (e.g. C/C++, FOCUS, Java, COBOL); Database skills (Teradata/Oracle); Two or more years experience managing small team of developers; Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills; Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills; Strong drive for results and ability to work independently as well as a member of a team; Proven innovation skills; Ability to work with cross-functional teams; Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing; Experience in obtaining and understanding business requirements; Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities; Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); Javascript, HTML; WebFOCUS InfoAssist (Comparable skill set would include Power Painter, Graph Assistant, Report Assistant); WebFOCUS OLAP functionality; Knowledge of Business Objects.
