Job Description:

The Strategic Initiatives Group is looking for a senior level project manager to lead product manufacturing/implementation projects for the Life and Annuity product areas. The selected candidate must have strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage large complex projects that span multiple business areas within AXA Equitable. Individual will be responsible to the project sponsor for the successful delivery of the project including delivery of the agreed upon scope, timeframe, cost and quality. They must have a proven history of applying project management tools and methodologies. Must have strong skills in the following areas:
  • Use of MS Project to create, maintain and analyze project schedules
  • Use of risk identification, response, and mitigation strategies
  • Use of issue identification, tracking and escalation to Sr. Management
  • Use of Change Management principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate to project teams and Sr. Management
  • Organization and prioritization skills Project Manager will be responsible for:
  • Actively managing stakeholder expectations
  • Managing deliverables from all functional teams ensuring they meet the define timeline and quality
  • Deploys project management principles and techniques directly to establish and maintain control of the project.
  • Organizes and leads the project team through the initiation, planning, execution, control, implementation and closure phases of the project.
  • Reports status to the sponsor, and escalates changes, issues, risks for resolution when needed.
  • Negotiate with resource managers to acquire the resources necessary to produce the project on time and within budget.

    Job Requirements:

  • College Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience required / Advanced Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 7-15 years general business experience
  • 4-7 years Project Management experience.
