Software Engineer Sr

Description Develop software in a J2EE environment. Responsibilities require the ability to recognize software problems, develop creative solutions for simple to complex tasks, and to manage multiple tasks and apply corrective actions within a fast paced environment. Applicant should have good enterprise application/development/architecture skills including knowledge of model driven development, common presentation frameworks, proper layering/separation of responsibility techniques. Applicant should also have a thorough understanding of software development lifecycle.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements 1) JEE SW development experience. Knowledge of JEE design patterns and JEE best practices.
2) Working experience with Flash, JDBC, Servlets, Java Server Pages, and experience with Struts/Spring.
3) Experience developing SOA based applications including Web Services engines (e.g. Apache Axis).
4) Experience with Application Servers (e.g. Oracle Weblogic, Tomcat).
5) Exp w/ rich presentation layer, strong comprehension of UI, JavaScript, Eclipse, Maven 2, JUnit
6) Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle processes, with emphasis on ABD, and spiral and evolutionary development.
