We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to join our Quality Systems Team located in Shakopee, MN.
This position will responsible for data analysis and working with the Quality Information System.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Ability to work effectively with Manufacturing Engineers on improving Manufacturing Practices as a key member of the Quality Engineering Department..
  • Participate or lead quality improvement teams, providing technical assistance where required.
  • Manage quality issues - working with suppliers and internal ADC departments on improving products and services provided by ADC to our customers and products provided to ADC by our suppliers.
  • Conduct data analysis of quality information
  • Work with analysis tools and ADC business systems to provide periodic reports as part of the Quality Information System.
  • Provide support for analyzing and managing the corrective and preventative action process.
  • Provide support role as subject matter expert for use of quality tools

Requirements REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Engineering degree (preferences for the degree include Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical tools (DPMO, SPC, Pareto charts, and data manipulation).
  • Knowledge of ISO regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong observational and analytic problem-solving skills (process/system/global thinking).
  • Proven effective use of project management leadership skills
 
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 
  • Foreign language skills - Spanish.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Cross-functional experience (preferred) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Product Management, Customer Service.
  • Familiarity with TL9000 requirements and measurements
