GENERAL MANAGER
CISPRI seeks a career-oriented General Manager to oversee all functions of Cook Inlet Spill Prevention & Response, Inc. The successful candidate must be able to work well w/ a wide range of stakeholders including; Local, State & Federal government, oil companies, community advisor boards. Excellent communication skills & demonstrated management success is vital to this position.
Desired skill sets of the position include:
At least 5 yrs upper management experience
Experience in oil spill response operations
B.S. in Business administration, management, finance, or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Proven ability in working w/ Local, State & Federal agencies
Working knowledge of Incident Command (ICS)
Proficiency in use of PC?s
Must be company orientated w/ a willingness to work long hrs in a challenging work environment
Due to type of business, must be flexible to alternations in work schedule
Essential responsibilities of the position include:
Management of employees & all CISPRI assets
Work directly w/ CISPRI executive committee
Manage annual budget
Annual board meetings
Goals & targets
CISPRI is an equal opportunity, not-for-profit company w/ its response base in Nikiski, Alaska. Employee must permanently reside in the Kenai/Nikiski area.
Normal business hrs are 8am-4pm, M-F. In addition, employees are provided w/ cellular phones so as to be available 24hrs/ day for emergencies.
