We have an outstanding career opportunity at our newly centralized, 24/7 state-of-the-art Customs Brokerage Processing Center in Columbia, South Carolina for a Customer Care & Compliance Coordinator.
Responsibilities for this role includes:
Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
Respond to customer inquiries, routing and escalating calls as required
Research required information using available resources to handle and resolve customer concerns
Provide internal advice & problem resolution when data, information or forms are missing causing a delay in the release or entry processing of freight entering the US
Complete all system and record keeping functions associated to the creation and maintenance of all customer profiles including the classification assistance tool
Provide customers guidance on bonds and validate all power of attorneys
Serve as the primary contact for high profile customers to ensure a positive, productive relationship
Skills required:
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
High Attention to detail
Ability to use sound judgment in decision making
Alliance skill set with knowledge of bonds and power of attorneys
Senior service, production, or support roles highly experienced in area of responsibility
Performs all of the standard and some specialized, more complex aspects of the function
Technical certification or Associate degree may be required in some areas
Generally 2-4 years of experience in related area of responsibility
