SUPERVISION REQUIRED This position works closely with the Services Manager, Projects, Project Managers and Director, Services Development to achieve organization growth in the employment of people who are blind. (Blind Work Years.)
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Due to the complexity of the AbilityOne program and the government marketplace for services, it is important that the Manager, Tele-services possess a broad range of skills and experience. Leadership/management skills specifically include strategic planning, openness to learning, building alignment, proactive planning, self-awareness, enabling individual and team effectiveness and empowerment, open communications and implementing with excellence.
Additionally, it is important to possess skills in budgeting and forecasting, development of business and account plans, and contract negotiations. It is also important that the person have an excellent understanding of government contracting regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Circular A-76. The position requires excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and a strategic orientation with the ability to execute tactically. Must have excellent leadership/management skills and the ability to interact, work collaboratively and network internally and externally.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 6 years related experience and/or training with emphasis on tele-services, contract services development, interpreting statements of work, project management, operational management, technical development, strategic business planning and program management.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 40%
