Deployable SATCOM and Networking Systems Engineer

Job Requirement Summary:Responsible Deployable SATCOM and Networking Systems Engineer in support of L-3 Linkabit Division contracts World Wide.Responsible for the installation and configuration of Satellite TDMA modems, Cisco routers, managed Ethernet switches, Performance Enhancing Proxies (PEP) devices, Inline Network Encryption (INE) hardware, RF electronics and X, Ku, and Ka-band antenna subsystems.Responsible for AC/DC, RF, fiber, and CAT5 cabling design, ICD drawings, and installation. Responsible for identifying SATCOM and networking problems, isolating root causes, and initiating corrective action as required.Responsible for reports on SATCOM and network performance, trouble-shooting results, and characterization of network elements.Lead briefings to customers and division management regarding the status and issues associated with critical installations.Provide training to both internal and external customers regarding equipment and installations.Must be capable of creating a sense of goodwill and community between Linkabit and our customers using our equipment.Requires at least 15 years of combined experience with the design, installation, operation and troubleshooting of SATCOM, RF and Networking equipment.Must have experience configuring and operating the following: Cisco Routers, VoIP Phones, Call Manager, VPNs, VLANs, VoIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and RIPv2.Requires a Microsoft Certified System Administrator, Security+, and ITIL-F v3 Certification.Must have at least 5 years of combined experience installing SATCOM/Networking equipment in multiple foreign countries.Must be willing to travel internationally to work in harm's way/austere environments for up to 100% of the time as required.Requires a MSEE (minimum) in Electrical EngineeringRequires a current TS/SCI (in JPAS) with a current CI PolygraphLinkabit is located in Melbourne FL.
