Job Summary:
This position will direct and manage the housekeeping function for the property to ensure the highest level of cleanliness, sanitation, safety and comfort in guest rooms and related common areas.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the Housekeeping function to ensure guest rooms and common areas that are clean, sanitized and well maintained for property guests. Direct the activities and monitor the performance of the Housekeeping management staff. Ensure the maintenance of company policies and procedures within the Housekeeping division. Prepare and administer the housekeeping and public space departmental budget. Provide accurate forecasting and analysis to the Dir Rooms as required. Oversee expenses and inventories for items such as guest room supplies, linens, laundry, uniforms, cleaning chemicals and contract labor. Provides recommendations for capital expenditures, repair and maintenance programs for Housekeeping areas. Acts as the primary point of contact for all vendors providing property cleaning services. Serves as the liaison between meeting planners and celebrity services to coordinate all VIP room requests. Ensure that all linen needs are met for F&B outlets and rooms by functioning as the primary liaison between the Laundry department/vendor and operating departments. Ensure absolute compliance with OSHA, health and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, a related Business discipline or equivalent experience required. Experience: Minimum of five years experience in housekeeping management required in a large hotel, (1000+ rooms) property preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping procedures, inventories, equipment and chemicals required. Strong communication skills required.
