Requirements

Job Summary:


Responsible for providing custodial management leadership in a hospital environment. Develop a team oriented and innovative work atmosphere to help the district fulfill its mission while improving efficiencies, reducing costs and delivering quality facilities management services.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and direction for custodial management including but not limited to:

  • Oversight of operational budget.

  • Development of policies and procedures which successfully provide efficient and effective services.

  • Provide sound employee relations practices in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Develop and recommend custodial operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget.

  • Act as liaison between Operations Department and other departments of the institution. Tailor services provided in order to meet the needs of various departments within fiscal and staffing guidelines.

  • Remain current on all government laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the position, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate all safety policies within the department.

  • Prepare written reports as required.


Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:



  1. B.A. Degree or related experience.

  2. At least 5 to 7 years of successful Custodial Management.

  3. Knowledge of effective management techniques including record keeping, reporting,budgeting, inventory control and cost, personnel and performance analyses.

  4. Experience in operations involving custodial services.

  1. Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data.

  2. Demonstrated proficiency with general business acumen.

  3. Excellent interpersonal skills.

  4. Strong service/quality attitude.

  5. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.

  6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.

  7. Strong public speaking skills.

  8. Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.

  9. Motivate and train staff.
