Description Ceridian is seeking a Compliance Manager for our HR / Payroll team. This role will engage in direct customer contact as Ceridian’s HR/PR compliance expert. They will answer inquires relating to Ceridian's product and service support of federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They will respond to direct customer and AE / sales compliance questions. Engage in activities to support Customers in legal questions evolving the compliance capabilities of Ceridian products. Bring compliance expertise and market awareness to advocate for Customer compliance needs in the development and enhancement of Ceridian product and services. Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Researches compliance requirements necessary to identify changes in federal, state, and local laws and regulations (EEOC, OFCCP, DHS, VETS, DOL, etc) that impact Ceridian products, services, and customers. Includes use of governmental, third party reference tools, and industry groups to be Ceridian expert on compliance requirements for assigned product/service area.
  • Define and document compliance updates resulting from analysis of impact of the legal and regulatory research on Ceridian products, services, and Customers. Where possible perform an impact assessment to determine prioritization of the required change(s). When appropriate, review prototypes or design of compliance updates to be incorporated in Ceridian products.
  • Conveys to Ceridian product management and development required compliance updates to Ceridian’s products and services based on analysis of compliance changes to keep Ceridian’s products, services, Customers compliant. Engages across Ceridian business units to coordinate compliance activities for changes that impact multiple Ceridian lines of Service. Supports Ceridian’s organizational readiness efforts to insure support, implementation, and relationship management are prepared to support compliance changes.
  • Author both internal and customer communications concisely describing required compliance changes, the product, service and Customer impact of those changes, and any actions Customers must take to maintain compliance using Ceridian products and services. Actively participates in efforts to proactively engage customers on compliance topics and deliver compliance knowledge to Customers ‘on demand’.
Qualifications:
  • 5 + years experience in HR, payroll, time and attendance, or in a compliance role involving employment law.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • Detail oriented, with experience in the identification of changes in federal, state, and local laws and regulations (such as FLSA, EEOC, OFCCP, DHS, VETS, DOL, IRS, etc).
  • Solid judgment and decision-making skills to distill out the essential facts from complex regulations and make correct conclusions about their impact on Ceridian customers, Ceridian products and Ceridian's business units.
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills to balance and deliver results on multiple concurrent activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, skills with the ability to communicate complex regulatory matters to lay persons.

  • Motivated; Independent; able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
