Description

Budgets & Forecasts: Responsible for the development of Managed Care reimbursement budget models and forecasts which are used to generate pharmacy sales/gross margin budgets/forecasts of $45B in which Managed Care comprises 96%.
Provide alerts on trends which impact the business particularly around generic reimbursement.
Supervise and manage reporting and financial analysis assignments in the department.
Generic Reporting & Analysis: provide reporting and analysis on generic reimbursement trends for all third parties and identify negative trends/alerts with the various groups.
Responsible for the completion of market research utilizing outside sources (IMS, Relay Health) to measure retail market share, mail order share, and benchmark CVS� performance to the industry.
Conduct market share studies for various markets as the need arises to identify issues impacting share (i.e. payment type trends, class of trade, mail order impact etc.)
Conduct in-depth analysis to research and support strategic initiatives such as MAC Caps (reimbursement for generic drugs), 90-days supply at retail, flat fee per script (Harvard Pilgrim), Medicare Part D, specialty drugs, Generic Dispensing, and cash discount programs.
Create intuitive models to help analyze new business proposals for profitability, potential share lift, and overall impact on the business.
Supervise and advise Business Analyst to support Pharmacy reporting needs for Store Operations.
Provide analysis and support of pharmacy related initiatives such as GSR (generic substitution), therapeutic interchange, etc.

Requirements

BS Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Managed Healthcare industry.
3-5 years of related work experience, (prior managerial experience preferred).
Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent skills in standard PC applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & Word), and familiarity with CVS Pharmacy Data Warehouse reporting tools.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks; delegate tasks and direct the work of others; apply time-management concepts and techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Read and understand contractual language.
Detail oriented self-starter.
