Description Overview:Provides direct care to students and staff in a school health department setting. Maintains appropriate, thorough and timely recordkeeping. Assists RN with health screening services as requested.Responsibilities:Administers medication according to care guidelines and school policy. Assists students with personal medical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring. Documents details of each visit including medication on student health record. Initiates student/staff accident reports. Maintains and post OSHA log. Documents incidence of communicable disease according to care guidelines, school policy and state regulation.Under RN supervision, assists with health screening activities such as vision, hearing and scoliosis screening, monitoring student immuzination status, head lice examination, body mass index measurement.

Requirements Completion of medical assistant training program; Two years experience in healthcare or medical office setting; Previous experience in student health setting preferred. CPR certified. First Aid certified.*CB*Go back to the welcome pageApplicant Tracking Software
