As an Accounts Payable Associate at PNC, you will provide direct support for processing the day-to-day vendor invoices and payments. You will also be responsible for responding to vendor inquiries, processing employee expense reports, and maintaining the vendor master files in the accounting system. Accounts Payable Associates also do a great deal of scanning, photocopying, and filing of documents.
Requirements The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
 
  • Associate's degree.
  • Demonstrated general knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices and procedures.
  • Experience in an electronic accounts payable processing environment.
  • Experience with the set up and maintenance of the vendor master file.
  • 2+ years experience of accounts payable processing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • The ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Type approximately 50 keystrokes per minute.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel).
  • Team oriented person who can focus on the details.
  • The ability to deal effectively with tight month end closing process.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with various other office equipment (calculator, date stamper, etc.).
  • Knowledege of PeopleSoft a plus.
