Position Description:
The PeopleSoft System Administrator’s role is to manage and grow our ERP systems as well as ancillary applications hosted at the Network Operations Center (NOC), to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
o Participate in and support capacity planning, functionality expansion for long-term strategic goals in conjunction with end-users and NOC Management.
o Administer multiple PeopleSoft environments (Currently - Financials 9.0, Financials 8.4, HRMS 8.3, Financials 7.5 on Oracle 9i/10g and HP-UX Platform
o Administer multiple instances of Weblogic, appserver and batch servers
o Configuration of Integration Broker for messaging between internal/external systems
o Monitor overall system performance and connectivity (Batch processing, DB Connectivity, Web server connectivity)
o Manage communications to users regarding system maintenance and issues
o Perform security administration and analysis functions
o Assist with audit requests for internal and external audits
o Migration of PeopleSoft projects using QuestSTAT
o Perform and test routine system backups and restores
o Develop SQL and shell scripts for automating and monitoring of PeopleSoft systems and processes
o Support application development team throughout project lifecycles
o Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, patches and/or reconfigurations
o Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.

The ideal candidate will have:
o Strong customer service orientation
o Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
o Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.
o Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
o Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
o Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including but not limited to HP Unix and NT.
o Extensive application support experience with PeopleSoft 8 or higher.
o Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including [firewalls, Active Directory, FTP, XML, App messaging…].
o Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
o Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
o Experience with data management.
o Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
o Aptitude to understand an organization’s goals and objectives.
o Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
o Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
o Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
o Keen attention to detail.

Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or 10+ years of work experience
3+ Years of Peoplesoft Systems Administration Experience
