Description The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets.

Summary:

Environmental firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Landfill Gas Technician in the Annapolis/Baltimore/Washington, DC area.

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years landfill gas experience.

Must have experience with Landfill Gas Collection & Control Systems and all supporting equipment.

Must be familiar with NSPS and all applicable regulations.

Must be familiar with the GEM2000, FID and other monitoring equipment.

Applicant must also like working outdoors in all elements.

Must be familiar with operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of utility and enclosed flares.

Must know how to perform small pipe repair and construction related activities.

Travel and possible out-of-town work.

Attends meeting with client and contractor.

Gathers a wide variety of data and collects samples of a variety of media.

Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains records, including databases, either manually or by computer methods. Work often involves use of complex analyzers, instrumentation or equipment including installation, calibration and/or maintenance of equipment or analyzers and instrumentation.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:

Works with moderate supervision/ guidance; accountable for individual results and impact on team

Responds to customer needs; seeks guidance on issues outside own area

Solves problems using standard procedures

Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines
