Embedded Software Electrical Engineer

Description We are currently seeking an Embedded Software Electrical Engineer who will develop VW RPU and GMI700 programs as well as assist in building embedded software core competency. ~cb~

Requirements The successful candidate will have a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering (BSEE, BSCSC), with an advanced degree being preferred. The candidate will have two or more years of automotive control systems design experience; Knowledge of algorithm development/prototyping-model/code based environment; Experience with vehicle based protocols-GMLAN or KWP2000 on CAN; Hands-on experience with embedded software development tools (compilers, linkers & debuggers); Hands-on experience with design to prototype process such as requirements generation, design reviews, implementation and validation of design; Demonstrated knowledge of automotive production launch schedules, APQP principles and design process requirements including DFMEA, design-of-experiments (robust engineering) and DVP&Rs; Knowledge of and prior work experience with design, development and test engineering of electronics products; Excellent oral and written communication skills; High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult; Basic knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R and PPAP; Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others; Ability to write pure embedded code; Training in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Good organizational skills; Willingness to travel.
