Position Description:
Summary: Responsible for providing technical leadership and support for all EDMC Online Higher Education web sites, which includes collecting requirements, designing, architecting and developing advanced Web sites while maintaining cross-platform, cross browser compatibility.

Key Job Elements:
1. Lead system architecture and design; provide input into formal design documents. Help manage the release notes & documentation repository.
2. Manage multiple projects, coordinate tasks among other team members and report project progress and issues to key stakeholders.
3. Design, develop and code various web applications for the EDMC Online web sites and ensure projects are implemented on schedule.
4. Manage and maintain existing web applications on various sites and update content and functionality as required on the sites.
5. Maintain a thorough understanding of the most current industry technology, tools and trends to implement improvements to ensure the currency of the Company’s use of Web technology
6. Technical implementation of strategic web initiatives including ensuring the brand position comes to life through Company websites and supports a consistent web-based end to end student, faculty and internal experience. Creates web environments to support goals and provide automation that supports growth and scale to the organization.
7. Design, analyze and implement change requests to ensure scheduled commitments are met.
8. Monitor site performance to identify and modify areas that require improvement.
9. Provide support for production issues.
10. Mentor Web Developers in technology & formal development methodologies.

Interacts With: Web Strategies team, business and technical partners within EDMC Online Higher Education and EDMC Central Services business and technical partners.

Position Requirements:
Job Requirements:
1. Knowledge:
a) A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
b) Five to seven years of Web site, application and database development/Internet experience.
c) One year of project management experience.
d) Experience on PC and Mac platforms and an understanding of how content managers and administrative tools operate with Web site maintenance.
e) Knowledge of web metrics, reporting tools and content management systems is a plus.

2. Skills:
a) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
b) Strong interpersonal skills.
c) Solid programming skills in tools such as ASP, ASP.NET, Web Service development & consumption, Windows Service development, SQL Server, Java Script, AJAX, Action Script, Java, HTML, Macromedia Dreamweaver.
d) Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.

3. Abilities:
a) Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
b) Ability to listen to customers and to understand and respond positively to their requests.
c) Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
d) Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
