Description Mechanical Engineer Job

Petroleum refiner has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Mechanical Turnaround (TA) Engineer. This is a 9 month contract assignment in UT. Pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities

As part of the Maintenance team, you will identify area improvements, quantify the benefits, oversee/perform design and implementation
Ensure timely training of appropriate area personnel regarding each improvement and ensure timely updating of documentation
Manage change procedures for all mechanical changes and projects in the assigned area
Lead safety reviews of projects to ensure they are installed in a safe manner consistent with process unit requirements, loss control guidelines, regulatory requirements and industry and company codes and practices

Requirements

BS in Engineering
5+ years of maintenance and engineering experience in the petroleum refining industry
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME codes, B31.3 piping, API, etc..)
Must have been involved in the planning and execution of at least one major turnaround
