Description

The Financial Planning and Analysis department at OHL is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Financial Analyst supporting our Global Freight Management and Logistics business unit.  The Financial Analyst will prepare financial reports, analyze information, and share findings with management to help improve financial planning and performance measurement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support financial and operational reporting enterprise wide using Great Plains, CargoWise, and TM1 platforms
  • Develop appropriate metrics for the business to measure growth, profitability, expense control and productivity; deliver innovative, high value-added financial information to the management team for strategic decision making
  • Responsible for Monthly Management Performance Reviews including variance analysis and the subsequent presentation of forecasts and analysis to senior management
  • Prepare Weekly Flash reporting by working closely with Business Development, Operations, and global controllers
  • Support pricing and cost estimating initiatives in collaboration with customer operations. 
  • Analyze overhead costs in key departments
  • Ensure on-going communication and dialogue with Corporate and Regional Finance and Accounting teams
  • Play lead role for business unit financial planning and analysis needs
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and various business projects using tools to improve financial processes and increase productivity
The Financial Analyst may also be expected to 1) plan, assign and direct work; 2) appraise performance; 3) coordinate with staff in a matrixed organization; and 4) address complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Business (Finance preferred) from four-year college or university;
  • At least 3 years corporate Finance experience  
  • At least 1 year corporate Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • Experience within Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Creative and resourceful problem solver
  • Able to manage complex situations
  • High energy level, self starter and strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
