Description Extensive experience as a Business Analyst for a large asset manager, Wall Street bank or major financial institution. In-depth knowledge of asset management business processes, workflows and industry practices.
Demonstrated exposure to fixed income instruments including US Treasuries, government/agency/corporate bonds, MBS and ABS; foreign exchange; exchange traded futures and options; interest rate and currency swaps. Experience with accounting of these instruments, and portfolio accounting applications and tools. Knowledge of Misys Summit FT is a strong plus.
Extensive experience in gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, and defining use cases and test cases. Experience with the system development lifecycle methodology and different models including Waterfall and Agile.
Strong process analysis skills and ability to suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of solutions. Ability to recommend and implement industry best practices.
Proven conceptual, analytical and judgmental skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Treasury provides asset management, banking and debt management, and capital markets services to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("IBRD") and its affiliates and member countries, and to other official-sector institutions. Treasury also carries out extensive collaborations with finance officials of member countries and their agencies with the objective of building members' capacity in public wealth and debt management. The scale of these activities is substantial: Treasury currently manages more than $90 billion in assets for over 25 clients, carries out about $15 billion per annum in debt issuance in global bond markets for IBRD and for the International Finance Facility for Immunization, and is engaged in capacity-building partnerships in more than 25 countries.

The Treasury Financial Technology Division ("TREFT") provides highly specialized technology services to all business lines within TREFT supports financial applications and technology infrastructure in areas including investment, liquidity, funding, and asset-liability management.

TREFT is currently seeking a talented and self-motivated Business Analyst to become an important member of the TREFT Business Partnership Team. The Business Partnership Team consists of Business Partners and Business Analysts, who collaborate closely with each business area within Treasury to develop and implement technology strategies and solutions. The Business Partnership Team is also responsible for analyzing end-to-end business workflows, providing technology advisory services to the Treasury business lines, and managing IT and business demands within Treasury.

The TREFT Business Analyst will provide dedicated support to the Asset Management business line of Treasury. The TREFT Business Analyst will work closely with this business line but will be exposed to all functional areas of Treasury, and will report directly to the Business Partnership Team Lead.

Role:
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions:
. Interface with the business client to understand business needs and requirements, and to help develop and maintain the client relationship.
. Identify business and functional requirements by working with application end-users, and lead the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of those requirements.
. Craft business cases to evaluate the feasibility of technology initiatives.
. Collaborate with IT professionals to determine if solutions currently exist (internally or externally) or whether new solutions are feasible to meet business requirements.
. Design and execute test cases for application development and implementation projects.
. Provide overall support to ensure the successful design, testing and implementation of applications that support the asset management business line.
. Document and manage issues and actions for IT applications and projects.
. Evaluate applications and IT environments, and analyze gaps between current and desired states. Proposed recommendations based on industry best practices.
. Document business and IT processes and workflows.
. Participate in the evaluation of new products or initiatives to determine the technology
