GENCO has an immediate opening for a WMS Application Specialist for our 653,000 sq. ft. medical device distribution center located in Plainfield, Indiana, in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Facility operates with approximately 150 teammates.
The position is responsible for:
- Assessing order management, warehousing, transportation systems along with business processes to determine the effectiveness of the current DLx software package
- Leading all aspects of software enhancements including analyzing, designing, piloting, building, testing and running; learning and applying BD Validation protocol/project and systems delivery methodologies
- Assisting/leading development of all project deliverables
- Identify system solutions for existing or new business requirements
- Knowledge of system modifications and enhancements and the impact it has on operations
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A BA/BS degree or equivelant combination of education and work experience required
- Five (5) plus years experience working within a logistics/ distribution/ supply chain environment
- Business operations knowledge in Order Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and / or Logistics
- Experience working with the Retail or Medical Device industries, prior regulatory complaince experience preferred
- Five (5) plus years experience with one or more of the following software packages: Order Management (SAP), Warehouse Management (SAP, Red Prairie), or Transportation Management, DLx experience preferred
- Experience working in mechanized distribution center
- Parcel Pack Software and/or Bastian Material Handling Software experience a plus
- Prior project management experience required
- Ability to travel as needed
