Description Summary Position:

Manage and make collection calls upon review and reduce accounts receivable. Take incoming calls from the billing queue from clients who have questions about account. Assist in mailing collection letters and other projects as needed.

Job Duties will include the following in managing and performing hands-on:
  • Handle collections functions for large vendors
  • Call clients for past due accounts and request payment
  • Collect money from delinquent accounts
  • Review accounts receivable, solving problems and finding solutions to reducing total A/R
  • Take incoming calls from the billing queue customers
  • Answer incoming calls from queue
  • Research customer accounts
  • Request client credits
  • Take credit card payments over the phone
  • Assist in mailing letters and various projects as needed
  • Maintain good client relationships
  • Maintain good interdepartmental relationships
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
    Job Requirements for this position will include the following:
  • A High School diploma is required; Degree a Plus
  • 3-5 years of Credit and Collections Management experience
  • Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics or SAP is a plus
  • Because of the nature of dealing with collections and resolving customers problems, a high level of phone skills and outgoing personality is required
  • Good communication, decision making, organization skills, and trouble shooting skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Professional appearance and presentation required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good computer proficiency

    Hours will be 8-5 p.m. Pay will be between $30k-$40k depending on experience. This will be a Contract to Direct Hire position! This job position will be located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
