Description Manages multiple initiatives and leads larger projects that are cross-departmental in scope and have impact of moderate risk to the organization. Plans, schedules, and directs the activities of all parties involved in a project. Held responsible for the timely completion and the quality of the work produced by the project teams they manage.

Projects are complex in nature and last up to or more than a year in durations. Interacts and negotiates with mid to senior level management on behalf of the project team. Sources, negotiates and manages outside vendors and contracting activities.

Leads project staff through all phases of the project. Attains commitment of resources required to keep the project on track, following up to ensure commitments are kept and accomplishments realized.
Directs and assigns work activities and priorities, monitors issues and identifies parties responsible for issue resolution, decision making, and issue escalation.
Works with single or multiple groups to develop moderate to complex project plans and budgets.
Prepares or assists with business cases, assigning tasks, and creating timelines.
Conducts meetings and summarizes meetings and action items/issues.
Creates, maintains, and tracks progress of designated project plans.
Handles budgeting/forecasting activities.
Interacts with staff and management on behalf of the project team.
Facilitates pricing and contract negotiations.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

College Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
7-10 years relevant industry experience, 5 years project management experience.
Insurance or Banking Operations background required.
Strong administrative, finance, and web enrollment systems background experience highly preferred.
PMP certification or willingness to attain within the first year required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external individuals.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of associates
Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution/mediation
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide project staff with a clear sense of direction. Must be able to work independently but also lead cross-functionally.
Possess strong general business and technical knowledge
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Operations background, and/or experience in starting new locations/facilities from the ground up preferred.
Proficient in project software and methodologies as well as Microsoft Office
Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance
