Description Dole Fresh Vegetables, based in Monterey, California, is the nation's leading producer of packaged salads as well as a major grower and harvester of vegetable commodity products.

Based in beautiful Monterey, this position is responsible for supporting DFV¡�s Human Resources function by performing the following tasks:
'X Manage all aspects of the salaried HRIS to include bi-weekly payroll, E-Time administration, auditing and financial reporting.
'X Conduct new hire orientations, manage new hire setup process and assist with On Boarding
'X Manage the creation, distribution and approval processes for annual Budget spreadsheets, Merit and Incentive programs.
'X Ensure headcount accuracy, monitor and track staff changes, transfers, promotions, additions and deletions.
'X Audit Dole Food Company¡�s ADP system on a regular basis and have the ability to create ad hoc reports as necessary.
'X Provide employee relations assistance for personnel issues for salaried employees
'X Work with company recruiter on updating recruiting records and interviewing candidates for all departments
'X Manage temporary/contract employee process
'X Regularly update various reports for senior management and provide period end accruals and other financial data to the finance department
'X Annually complete turnover reports, benchmarking and assist with EEO and AA reports
'X Monitor and work with outside vendors for salaried service award and scholarship programs.
'X Facilitate Performance Development Program for salaried employees
'X Maintain communication with remote location HR teams to ensure policies/procedures are up to date and employment practices are consistent with company direction
'X Participate in and complete various employee salary surveys with outside firms.
'X Initiate and assist with the administration of Relocation Program for new hires and eligible transferring employees
'X Act as liaison between salaried employees and Dole Food Company for benefits administration, leave of absence processes, unemployment and annual Open Enrollment program.
'X Manage HR Assistant and Monterey Receptionist; assist Facilities personnel as needed with Monterey office building tasks/projects
'X Plan and assist with Company events, including employee volunteering and DFV company charitable events
'X Other Duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
EDUCATION: BS/BA Degree preferred, AA degree with college-level course work in Human Resources, Business or related field required.

SKILLS: Strong organizational skills; proficient computer skills in Word, Lotus Notes, Excel PowerPoint, Report Smith and ADP; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; detail oriented; flexible. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; work in a fast-paced environment; exercise mature judgment and maintain strict confidentiality in highly sensitive areas. Strong people skills. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

ADDITIONAL: Knowledge of payroll processes and DOL (Federal and State) laws and regulations

PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time and utilize a variety of office equipment. Ability to stoop and bend. Ability to talk or hear, and lift up to 15 pounds. (Notification required due to the Americans with Disabilities Act).
Requirements EXPERIENCE: 4-6 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in Human Resources supporting an exempt level environment
