Role: Clinical Innovations Consultant
Assignment: BIICC, Clinical/Analytic Consulting
Location: Louisville, KY

Assignment Capsule:
Responsible for consulting related to clinical activities and departments doing clinical analytics within Humana. Associate will be responsible for the development of relationships between BIICC and other Humana departments by assisting the gathering, understanding and application of data, tools and all forms of analytics. Associate will work in team environment with a group of high level Scientists, Analyst's and other Healthcare professionals. The ideal associate for this position must be able to work with members of Senior Management and their team; with a high degree of confidentiality and professional acumen present at all times.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gather data and information to facilitate basic and advanced analytics.
  • Produce foundational analytics, such as historical reporting, metric aggregation, and association analysis.
  • Work with complex data from various sources while understanding and working with various data sets and data hierarchies.
  • Use data and visualization tools to investigate relationships and mine insights presented in data results.
  • Document analytical processes and methodologies.
  • Manage time and workload to prioritize projects and tasks.

    Role Essentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math or a related field
  • Experience working with clients at all level within the organization
  • Experience, confidence and a comfort level with presenting to company Stakeholders
  • Strong experience with data management, mining, and manipulation along with analytics in insurance, health, research or like industries.
  • Aptitude for learning new tools, techniques, concepts and technologies.
  • Superior problem solving skills.
  • SAS, SQL, SPSS or other experience
  • Experience with the practical uses and applications of healthcare information.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Self-starter with a dedication to a team-colleague orientated department.

    Role Desirables:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Math or related field
  • Experience working in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Consumer Research in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry

    Reporting Relationships
    This role will report to a Director. This area is under the leadership of a VP and SVP/CFO
