D&E Sales Rep - On -Premise

JOB SUMMARY:

Solicits the sales of Company products to retail and on-premise customers in an assigned territory by direct contact and prospecting new accounts. Executes sales plans and special promotions in the achievement of sales goals. Services the customers with special product deliveries on short notices, and other customer sales needs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Solicits sales in assigned retail accounts to achieve objectives through evaluation of new business opportunities and voids in present sales/service levels.

Ensures the development of existing accounts.

Develops and prospects new accounts through cold calls.

Introduces new products and new promotions and provides service to assigned customers.

Delivers merchandise when required.

Performs accounting duties when necessary.

Handles all customer problems in a timely and efficient manner within Company guidelines.

Attends all scheduled meetings.

Advises District Sales Manager of sales and/or service problems encountered.

Performs other related duties assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

May involve evening scheduling special promotions or weekend activities with vendors.

JOB QUALIFICATION:

- This is a Fine Wine sales position and extensive knowledge of wine is required.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent thereof in related experience.

Strong Communication skills – verbal, persuasion, and writing.

Valid state motor vehicle license. Job requires the ability to secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.

Ability to secure and maintain a State Sales Permit in accordance with state laws and must be 21 years of age or older

Extensive travel (70% - 85%) by automobile. Daily driving may involve driving distances of 100 miles. From time to time may involve driving a distance of up to 200 miles.

Ability to frequently lift and/or move 30 to 40 pound cases, ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50-pound cases and stand for extended periods of time.
