Position Overview
Under the leadership and guidance of the Selling Manager, the Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, establishing and developing strong customer relationships, building individual sales volume, establishing new accounts, demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach to growing client spend and individual productivity and partnering effectively with other team members while demonstrating consistent adherence to company expectations of performance and behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and profitability results
- Develop a strong client base through new client acquisition and growth of existing client spend
- Deliver results on departmental/ store event goals
- Open new accounts as a means of adding new clients to client base and building customer relationships
- Seek out and approach customers in and outside of selling area and greet warmly
- Record and maintain all customer information and preferences using SFA electronic client tracking systems
- Model all Saks Fifth Avenue Service Principles (G-R-E-A-T Standards)
- All other department initiatives, including but not limited to, selling floor maintenance, annual inventory, and preparation for sale events, as directed by the Selling Manager
