Our practice is hiring surgical assistants to support an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has recently joined our practice. Full-time or part-time positions are available in both our Honolulu and Waipio Gentry locations. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:40 am until 5:00 pm, except for Thursdays (7:40 am until noon). No weekends! Both offices are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Travel between the offices may be required.

Duties include measuring vitals, taking x-rays, preparing treatment rooms, welcoming patients, passing instruments, starting IV’s, assisting during general anesthesia and IV sedation procedures, suctioning, giving pre-op and post-op instructions to patients, sterilization and infection control, taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, inventory ordering, surgical equipment maintenance, etc.

Oral surgical experience preferred, but we will train person with dental-assisting experience. Persons without dental or medical experience may be considered for the position of a sterilization tech. Sterilization techs have the opportunity to advance to the position of surgical assistant with training.
