POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages dealership operations and staff at assigned dealership with focus on Bottom Line Management ("BLM"). Responsible for development and performance of direct reports (SM, SOC) as well as development of effective results-oriented relationships with indirect reports (Loan Manager, corporate support services). Maintains dealership performance while adhering to DriveTime guidelines, policies and practices, and acting ethically and with integrity at all times and with all employees.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general guidelines and parameters for the job and are not intended to be a comprehensive, detailed description of the job.

Dealership Goals and Strategies
� Provide guidance and strategic planning for the dealership with respect to dealership profitability
� Achieve profitability objectives through effective management of dealership team, operating expenses, inventory, and loan performance in a continually changing environment
� Implement and execute all company-wide or regional level initiatives so as to maximize their impact and to help meet or exceed profitability goals
� Identify opportunities to promote dealership within the community to maintain a competitive position and achieve profitability objectives
� Work with RM and SM in establishing budgeted sales volume and expenses for dealership
� Review and analyze dealership profitability and recommend and implement changes as appropriate
� Work with Regional Manager and Inspection Center General Manager to maintain/improve quality/type of inventory available.

Dealership Team Effectiveness
� Hold regularly scheduled meetings with all dealership staff (including the Loan Manager and Account Representatives) to discuss BLM performance, acknowledge contributions of team members, communication company-wide changes, and provide open forum for questions and discussion
� Responsibility for all ensuring aspects of dealership processes are maintained within policy and procedure and corporate guidelines, including but not limited to administration of gas cards, security/accuracy of deposits and set up of new hires
� Ensure SM, ROC and SOC are effectively recruiting, screening, and hiring dealership team members to reduce turnover and improve performance
� Ensure SM, ROC and SOC are effectively training and developing their direct reports
� Provide proactive leadership to the dealership team to achieve profitability objectives in a method consistent with DriveTime's vision and values
� Evaluate dealership team performance and give feedback consistently, regularly, and in a timely manner based on both observations of performance and behavior, and the review of performance statistics
� Support SM in the execution of company-wide marketing initiatives through effective management of the dealership team
� Support SM in the development and delivery of dealership specific marketing and sales initiatives
� Complete and conduct semi-annual performance evaluations

Customer Service
� Exhibit a relationship-oriented approach to customers, vendors, and employees
� Develop and enhance customer relationships by establishing, promoting, and maintaining excellent customer service with the dealership operations
� Work with customers, peers, employees, corporate team, and regional management team to resolve complaints or concerns in a fast, positive, results-oriented fashion
� Work with SM in identifying community organizations and events to represent and promote a positive image of DriveTime within the community

Reports
� Track dealership progress and initiate changes as needed to meet goals and targets
� Review dealership performance statistics
� Track inventory to maintain proper levels and to not exceed budgeted wholesale losses
� Communicate reporting results and dealership performance statistics as appropriate to improve performance
� Work with corporate support (accounting, IT) to improve/change reports as necessary
� Ensure good general understanding of reports by dealership direct and indirect reports

Finance
� Underwrite the contract and loan by reviewing the credit application and the credit report, and interviewing the customer
� Coordinate with the Loan Manager to ensure deals maintain or improve the credit mix within the portfolio
� Monitor or complete the contract closing to ensure the customer understands the terms and conditions of the contract
� Complete employment, residence, and reference verifications
� Review deal jackets to ensure that deals are complete
� Monitor loan performance and support all collectors as needed in finding solutions to get customers back on track

Other
� Ensure that DriveTime policies and procedures are communicated, implemented, and maintained
� Coordinate any service or maintenance of the dealership as needed to preserve a positive image of DriveTime, provide a comfortable atmosphere for DriveTime customers, and provide a positive working environment for DriveTime employees

Requirements � High School Diploma or equivalent.
� Experience in management position is required.
� Knowledge and experience in automobile sales and service.
� Must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and work with all levels of employees and customers and work in conjunction with various corporate groups to achieve corporate and group goals.
� Excellent communication skills required.
