The attorney selected will reside in the practice group that handles trust and fiduciary law scope matters arising out of the wealth management business of PNC throughout the United States.  This position will be assigned to serve as the primary attorney for specific businesses and/or geographies with a focus on the Midwest states.  This position has potential to reside in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA.
 
This attorney will be expected to handle all matters arising out of the assigned business/geographies and to assist others in the Practice Group as needed. This will involve training and counseling Wealth Management staff in general and on specific matters as they arise, handling potential issues with federal and state regulatory agencies, and working with outside counsel regarding cases filed in court. This position also works directly with other practice groups in the PNC Legal Department, as well as their clients, to resolve and/or manage fiduciary related issues and to help them achieve their business goals, by drafting, reviewing and giving advice regarding trust, fiduciary, and agency agreements, client and employee communications. This position will also be involved in special projects and assignments as needed.


Requirements The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
 
  • Five years of experience handling trust and fiduciary law matters.
  • Knowledge of and experience in handling matters under Federal and state trust and fiduciary laws.  
  • Understanding of estate and gift tax matters sufficient to be able to identify tax issues in the context of handling other matters, and will recognize and transfer such issues to outside counsel
