Quad/Graphics is seeking a Pigment Quality Control Chemist for our CR/T location in Hartford. This position will be responsible for performing quality control and routine analysis of pigment dispersion and inks. This individual will be required to work with a large variety of chemicals including solvents, acids, bases, inks, resins, pigments, and powders both individually and as a part of a team.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of practical laboratory experience with heatset and sheetfed inks. A BS degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering (with an emphasis in chemistry) or equivalent completed coursework is also required. Experience with printing ink pigment and printing ink dispersion quality control is preferred. Additionally, a diverse background in newsprint inks, flexographic inks and lithographic UV cured inks is a plus.
