Property Accountant

Description Classification: Full-time

Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000 per year

Are you interested in working for a very well established and stable real estate company? Our client is interested in hiring a Property Accountant to do the day to day accounting for a group of properties.
Duties for this Property Accountant opportunity include: Prepare monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations; Process month end close of Accounts receivable; Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, security deposits, expenses, Accounts Payable and other escrows; Analyze the general ledger and take appropriate action including closing at end of month; Distribute reports to investors and others; Provide accounting and software support to the sites; Oversee the sites with their daily deposits, tracking accuracy of rent rolls and tracking accuracy of statement of security deposits; Assist in the Forecast preparation process; Conduct site audits; Manage and process replacement reserves; Prepare year end adjusting entries an work papers for year end audit; Assist auditors with questions; Perform additional assignments as required. Requirements Candidates must have 4+ years property accounting experience. No degree is necessary for this opportunity but a Bachelors Degree is a big plus. Candidates who have MRI software experience will be preferred.
