Position Description:

We currently have a challenging opportunity available for Corporate Counsel at our corporate headquarters in Calabasas, CA. This position will report to the Vice President, Senior Counsel and will be responsible for the legal affairs of the company.
Responsibilities:
You will work closely with key executives, advising them on a broad range of issues. You will have demonstrated the capability to be a results-oriented business counselor who delivers timely, cost-effective, practical advice. You will have a solid understanding of construction contracts, labor law and collections. As necessary, you will manage external legal resources in a cost-effective manner.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from a prestigious law school.
- 10 years’ experience as an attorney with an established law firm and/or corporate legal department preferred.
- Substantial experience with relevant corporate transactions, construction contracts and labor law.
- Comfort in dealing with senior management on a variety of complex issues; ability to communicate complicated concepts both through written and verbal means to senior business clients.
- Ability to manage transactions and collaborate with business clients and colleagues in team problem solving.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage numerous time-sensitive matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
