Identifies, manages and develops lead sources for multiple Kindred nursing centers within an assigned market.  Promotes Kindred's services through site visits, contact calls, tours and community events.  Facilitates all aspects of a smooth transfer/admission process.
Requirements Qualifications:
Education:
  • RN Required.
Experience:
  • A minimum of three years healthcare industry experience in either sales and marketing or community relations or social services.
Essential Functions:
  • Manages customer relationships in accordance with the facilities sales plan.
  • Conducts regular visits to referring hospitals.  Builds and maintains relationships with Discharge Planners, Case Managers, Physicians and all other potential referral sources.
  • Conducts contact calls to identify new and potential business sources.  Identifies new Physicians and assist with setting up meetings with Physicians.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the market in general and the specific products, services and acuity trends within the market.
  • Identifies options for partnering with other providers in the market and assists them in developing partnerships with necessary providers.
  • Coordinates community education and events for hospitals, physicians and other referral sources.
  • Coordinates tours at facilities for new referral sources' families and follows through, as appropriate.
  • Follows up with referral sources with case studies and updates.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Skilled in marketing healthcare products and meeting sales goals.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (at least 80%) and work on-site in numerous facilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum daily direction, and to self-motivate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, physicians, hospital administrators, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn reimbursement programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
