The Corporations of the President and the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints support the Church and its missions. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a world-wide religion with over 13 million members. *This is a contingent position of up to 12 months. There is possibility for renewal and/or conversion to regular employement.*
The EIM Business Intelligence Report Writer is responsible for gathering requirements, design, creation and support of key reports for all the General Authority department within the Church. In this position, the engineer will:
- Assess reporting needs of the department through investigation and analysis of non-technical users
- Create reporting solutions using either Business Objects Web Intelligence and/or Crystal reports
- Quickly and accurately respond to Ad-Hoc information requests
- Utilize and improve security measures to ensure appropriate user access
- Forecast, analyze data and trends and create reports that highlight areas in need of performance improvement
- Analyze deficiencies in reporting database and make suggestions as necessary
- Work with all levels of end users, including executive staff
- Interact with customers as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems with reports and applications
- Identify and resolve application/infrastructure problems and provide performance tuning services when applicable
