Design, lead, and coordinates complex technical solutions through full system lifecycles including architecture, development and infrastructure integration. Educates and mentors other technical resources in development of technical solutions.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

� Shaping and leading large scale application design and architectural activity.
� Lead multiple lead developers and project teams on SOA principles and execution.
� Work to define migration strategies from legacy applications to new architecture and technologies, service enabling legacy systems.
� Lead and mentor lead developers in coding and delivering technical solutions.
� Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, business users and business analysts to obtain clear definition of business requirements
� Review requirements and define technical estimates based on defined technology stack, resource availability, skill sets and priorities.
� Develops, tests, installs, and maintains complex business applications using structured development methodology working with cross functional teams.
� Perform periodic system evaluation to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

ROLE MEASUREMENTS:

� Feedback on effectiveness from senior management, team members, and peers.
� Effectiveness of leading and mentoring technical leads on architectural design through implementation.
� Accuracy of technical estimates.
� Deliver quality architecture, design, and specifications to project teams and leads
� Effectiveness of senior level communication.
� Deliver on time and on budget.
� Timely delivery of the system development lifecycle artifacts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

� Minimum of 7-10 years experience in developing applications.
� Full software lifecycle development experience in large, complex systems.
� Experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, SOA, and other related technologies.
� Deep understanding of SOA/Web Services design.
� Well versed with OOD and J2EE.
� Experience in OOAD using established methodologies, notations (such as UML.), techniques (such as Design Patterns-Core J2EE Design Patterns,) and tools (such as Rational Rose).
� Strong technical experience with a broad range of technologies in Java SE/EE (JSP/JSF/Servlet, EJB, JMS, Transaction, JDBC, Web Services, Security and etc.), and other open source frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and Ibatus, using tools such as myEclipse and Rational Application Developer
� Background in warehousing systems a plus.
� Object Oriented Design and Programming, J2EE applications/Web development Frameworks (Struts, Spring, iBATIS), tier components (JDBC, MQ), Java/J2EE design patterns
� Works well in a team environment and able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
� Proven results oriented person with a rapid delivery focus.
� Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
� Bachelors degree � preferably in computer science
� Strong oral and written communication skills.
