Description
The Service Manager position will be responsible for the management of maintenance personnel within assigned branch or branches.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 7 (seven) years of industry related experience required.
Minimum of 2 (two) years of managerial experience required.
Minimum of 9 (nine) years work experience required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 (five) years of supervisory experience preferred.
- 7 (seven) years of technical experience preferred
- Proficient PC skills to include Microsoft Office
Knowledge of P&L preferred
- Candidate must possess
- Knowledge of execution of performance management process, and basic understanding of business finance.
- Ability to select, train and develop High caliber personnel
- Must exhibit strong ability in communication, leadership and hands-on mechanics and customer service.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple tasks and the Ability to act independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specifically the Service Manager will be held accountable for the following at each Ryder shop:
Manage the Preventive Maintenance Process
Inventory management
Safety and EPA compliance
Customer/driver interaction and service
Facility maintenance including all shop tools and equipment
Review, analyze and track maintenance measures
Create action plans for continuous improvement
Ensure Shop Management System (SMS) is maintained
Ensure maintenance of all files required to meet and/or exceed government requirements.
Quality assurance of work performed/deliverables
Financial forecasting and cost control related to maintenance
Manage running costs and maintenance overheads
Ensuring and maintaining customer satisfaction
Ensure a safe and productive operation through proper implementation and administration of company policies and procedures.
